I must say I was not disappointed. Valentina and Anatoliy, the mother-son team that run the spa are extremely gracious hosts, and welcome you to their spa as a special guest into their home.My massage therapist was great, and had an amazing grounded feel about him. I could heard him synchronize his breath to his movements, which I appreciated. It always makes for a better massage when the therapist is present and in the flow.There is a medical component to the spa, run by Dr. Thompson, who I had a chance to briefly speak with. I must say he is one of the more 'real', approachable plastic surgeons I have met. And, in a world of high-stress beauty where ample opportunities to prey on patient's insecurities exist, that is a remarkable quality.I have to say the highlight of the spa experience at AquaMedica is the relaxation lounge, with the dim lights and the soft cushy blankets. You can easily drift away into a peaceful sleep, and if Valentina comes and tucks you in in her warm special way, then you better believe you'll be smiling as you sleep!"
